Hi, I’m Lindsey.

I’m a media nerd. I loved journalism by eighth grade, and I still subscribe to a physical newspaper even though I haven’t worked in print media in years.

81447843_10156913976252253_8459351149361758208_nI live in a historic neighborhood in Indianapolis with my dog, Dasher (yes, she is named after the reindeer), and my husband.

I’m an editor for Axios, overseeing reporting teams in Chicago, Minneapolis and Indianapolis.

Prior to joining Axios in May 2022, I worked for WFYI as a digital editor, where I managed social media accounts, worked in several content management systems and played around with tools to create interactive graphics.

Before that, I covered state government, politics and philanthropy for the Indianapolis Business Journal. I launched The Rundown newsletter in April 2018 and brought readers the top Indianapolis political news every Friday morning. I love writing newsletters and discussing newsletter strategies.

I grew up in Michigan, but I attended Indiana University, and I’ve embraced being a Hoosier. Talk to me about IU basketball. Or football, because we’re a football school now.

Before moving to Indianapolis, I lived in Bay City, Michigan; Bloomington, Indiana; Washington, D.C., Phoenix, Arizona; and Frankfort, Kentucky.

In April 2017, I ran my first marathon and survived to tell the story. I followed up with a second marathon in 2022. I’ve run over 10 half marathons.

Life has thrown me a few curve balls (more on that here), and I’ve learned to roll with the punches (read about that here).
