Hi, I’m Lindsey.

I’m a media nerd. I loved journalism by eighth grade, and I still subscribe to a physical newspaper.

81447843_10156913976252253_8459351149361758208_nI live in Indianapolis with my dog, Dasher (yes, she is named after the reindeer), and I work for WFYI Public Media.

I’m the digital editor for the education and health teams, and that means I spend a lot of time on social media, work in several content management systems and play around with tools to create interactive graphics.

Prior to jumping into the public media world in April 2021, I worked for the Indianapolis Business Journal, where I wrote about state government, politics and philanthropy. I launched The Rundown e-newsletter in April 2018 and brought readers the top Indianapolis political news every Friday morning. I love writing newsletters and discussing newsletter strategies.

I grew up in Michigan, but I attended Indiana University, and I’ve embraced being a Hoosier. Talk to me about IU basketball. Or football, because I guess we’re trying to be a football school?

Before moving to Indianapolis, I lived in Bay City, Michigan; Bloomington, Indiana; Washington, D.C., Phoenix, Arizona; and Frankfort, Kentucky.

In April 2017, I ran a marathon and survived to tell the story. I’ve run 10 half marathons.

Life has thrown me a few curve balls (more on that here), and I’ve learned to roll with the punches (read about that here).
